There are 18 groups, 42 people waiting in line. They are likely to wait for more than one hour. Even at a busy Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood, there are a third of the guests waiting in line as those for Gyu-Kaku. There is no one waiting in line at some restaurants. At a noodle shop that used to be very popuplar until recently, there are vacant tables.

There are three Japanese food eateries; Gyu-Kaku in the middle, Watami on the left, and Mou Mou Club is on the right. As these establishments are crowded at 8:20 pm on a day before the three-day holiday, 33 groups are waiting at Gyu-Kaku. In the evening of the first day of the three-day holiday, Gyu-Kaku is more crowded than the previous evening. There are just three people waiting at a Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood and another Chinese restaurant has only ten people waiting in line. Those restaurants have larger dining floors than the Japanese restaurants, however,they have many fewer guests waiting in line.

| Gyu-Kaku is located in an area with numerous condominiums where many Japanese people live. Japanese people make up 40% and repeat guests make up 50% of Gyu-Kaku's clientel. The tables are filled with guests with reservations and the restaurant was crowded with repeat guests asking how long they had to wait. |

A three-story shopping mall was remodeled from a warf. Gyu-Kaku is located in the center of the top floor. At 6:00 pm, on the second day of the three-day holiday, there are ten groups, seven people waiting in a queue as it may be a little early for dinner. There are 18 groups waiting in a queue at a Sushi restaurant which is 20 meters ahead. At this time, there are no guests wainting in line at a steak restaurant, a Korean restaurant,and an Italian restaurant on the first floor and some restaurants have many vacant tables. At 7:45 pm right after the holiday, there are 17 groups waiting in a queue at Gyu-Kaku.
